Lol at the burned discs - riddled with spelling and grammar errors!

But not happy with their existence. I have no problem with Project OSX86, it's a volunteer unpaid community effort. A lot of very intelligent people have done a lot of very hard work on it, all unpaid.

These disks show someone is trying to leech some personal profit out of OSX86's work. Not cool. Furthermore, OSX86 make it clear that they are creating an unsupported version of Apple's software, and that if you want the real thing, you should buy one of Apple's machines.

These discs could lead people to believe they are buying an official version of Apple's OSX and then get upset with Apple when they inevitably run into problems.

Efedor, get some downloads from the OSX86 websites, don't support your local pirates who are screwing over Apple. Tell them to go screw over RIAA or someone else. Apple have actually behaved quite gracefully in not seeking to shut down OSX86. Give Apple a bit of respect back please.

No, they won't. You won't find these discs in the US, or anywhere else you might travel, and anyone considering buying them (are they still $6, OP?) knows exactly what they are getting into.

I should have realised from the Arabic on the cover - presumably these are made locally or somewhere like Saudi Arabia where there's a giant trade in knock off software.

I suppose from your posting here you're armed forces or associated person working in Iraq. My point still stands - other services people might pick them up and run into problems and blame it on Apple.

For locals seeking to avoid lengthy downloads, hmm yes I can see why they'd rather buy the DVD than download from OSX86, but it would still be nice if the disks made it clear the materials were from OSX86, and that the charge price was for materials and labour (like purchasing linux distributions.) Oh well.

Probably sold alongside bootleg Vista and Photoshop etc.
