This seems hardly front page worthy.

And btw these still charge over micro-USB right? LOL

Yes it uses the most common type of charging port.

What’s incredible is it doesn’t matter what connection a device uses, someone somewhere will find something wrong with it. Are you expecting five different ports so you don’t need to buy a dongle?

Apple has added a listing for a new custom-designed pair of Beats Studio3 Wireless headphones that celebrate the 27th birthday of Brazilian soccer star Neymar Jr.

The Neymar Jr. Custom Edition headphones feature graffiti-style decals over the outside of the ear cups and headband that hark back to the soccer player's childhood roots in the streets of São Paulo and pay homage to his famous "Shhh..." tattoo.

The headphones also feature a number 10 inside the headband, representing the Paris Saint-Germain player's shirt number and 10-year professional soccer career.
Priced at $349.95, the new Beats Studio3 custom-designed headphones are listed by Apple as "coming soon," but anyone interested in picking up a pair shouldn't have to wait too long, as Neymar Jr's birthday was just yesterday.

Beats = Terrible sound quality, extremely uncomfortable and cheaply made.
Keep Them!

From the Apple website....

Premium sound with fine-tuned acoustics and Pure ANC
Beats Studio3 Wireless headphones deliver a premium listening experience with Pure Adaptive Noise Canceling (Pure ANC) to actively block external noise and real-time audio calibration to preserve clarity, range, and emotion.

“emotion”? wtf does that mean?

This is a mid-range quality product at best covered over in glossy fancy wording. People who really appreciate good quality sound and good quality products don’t need dick heads like Neymar screaming all over their headphones which.....let’s face it...are made for rainbow flicking.

$350.

The profit margin on these cans has to be astronomical.
This is an emotional buy. Lots of products try to tap into emotion and not just Apple or electronic equipment. Listen to commercials and you will hear words that sound positive but when you think about it have nothing to do with what the product is supposed to do. Everything from dish soap to cars, products are ‘evocative’ and ‘stunning’ or ‘soothing’. Or they have ‘courage’.

Assuming that’s an NFL player (helping prove my point), 99.9% of the world has no idea who that is (including me).

James Connor beat cancer to finish playing at the University of Pittsburgh and then become the starting running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Soccer is boring, the clock runs in the wrong direction, there are no penalties (just referees attempting to do card tricks for some reason), and the leagues (millions of them) are all full of dive artists. The jerseys are just billboards.

The only positive to soccer is that when a referee blows a call, they can be dismembered and have the pieces paraded around in front of their families.

Never heard of him but I don't follow soccer. Not a good idea linking a product to a sports player IMO.

LOL.
Neymar has to redeem himself.
He is very talented player, no question there but the last two WC have been a disappointment. He has another shot in 3 years. It can be his last chance.

North America has approximately 370 million people in it, including Canada. These two countries are US footballs main fans. The rest of the world has the other 8.1 billion people, and when you say ‘Football’ to them it means soccer. You have a product that you want to sell world wide. Even if you will customize offerings to fit the market later when you initially offer it do you want to appeal to 370 million or 8 billion? China and Asia alone dwarf the US/Canadian population and have a large enough middle to upper class to afford a $350 item. Western Europe definitely has the money and the interest.

Wankers like Neymar are much better suited to promote products like beats.

I think Beats has a promo partnership with Neymar, so not unexpected. It’s just branding, not something expected to drive sales.

It could be worse I suppose.. Apple could have got Klownye Waste involved.

I have the Beats Studio 3 Decade collection. An they sound good and charge lasts very well. But as others assume is the $$$ is a little pricey so as other true capitalists I waited for black Friday and bought mine at BestBuy for $149...

This has got to be one of the crazier custom Apple gewgaws I've ever seen. And I know others have pointed this out, but it was one of the first things I thought when I read the article: 27th birthday? Really? Is this a thing now, outside of "Weird Al" Yankovic fandom (the number 27 being a running gag in his songs)?
