Apple Logo on 3G iPhone boot

Hi there

I have purchased an IPhone 3G on contract and at the boot the logo seems to be have like a sort of slash like its an apple logo (shiny) but it has a shlash going through i.e. like a mirror line

Is that normal or what ???

Yeah I thought something was wrong when I first booted up my ipod touch 1g.

What is the purpose of that thing in the middle of the logo anyways?

It is to show depth and make it appear 3D.

When you photograph a reflective object, you often get the lights reflected in the object. They're just replicating that.
