Apple logo with loading bar flashes for a split second when waking from sleep? (MBP Retina Late 13)

Hey all,

I have a Late 2013 15" MacBook Pro.

I noticed from a few days ago every time I wake it up from sleep mode or lifting up the lid, it will flash the Apple logo with a loading bar underneath for a split second and then go to the desktop. Everything functions normal, it just does that now when it used to not do that.

Anyone know what could be causing that?

I did restart, reset SMC and any other basic troubleshooting step I could think of. I'm wondering if it's software.
