nah didn't see him, but i am going to the event tommrow, gonna take my camera down and hopefully post some pics!! how do post them on a forum?!?!

If this announcement is about The Beatles, I think I will have to make a vow never to allow myself to get excited about an Apple "event" ever again. I couldn't give a flying about Steve's "excitement to be working with the Beatles".

Steve, if you're sitting on the edge of your bed in the Sanderson right now, pressing Command+R on this page every five minutes to see the hype you're building up...
WE WANT 3G 16GB iPHONES!!!!!

I feel the same way.

If Steve expects us to be excited about that old and over-the-hill group, it's time for him to step down.

Even if the iPhone isn't available to buy straight away, hopefully there will be some on display that I can try on Wednesday. Or at least some iPod touches.
Also, I hope Apple have realised how important 3G is to the European market. 16GB will be nice too. O2 need to get their money's worth.

500th Post! :D Shame it didn't add anything to the discussion. Oh well.

I'm guessing iPhone for the UK and a couple of new apps to boost sales.

Can't see that it will be anything major like an entirely new product or news on Leopard. SJ would want to announce that whilst America is awake.

Yeah, I think that even he, the man that can stand up in front of 10,000 people once a year, would be afraid to get up and announce Leopard while being tired. That would take a whole lot of lattes to keep him awake at 2 in the morning. "One more....... Zzzzzzzzz....":D

8. With the new iPod announcements recently, perhaps they held one in reserve and are release a "Beatles" iPod tomorrow to go with the songs.

Good call, actually. That's not so important that it should be announced in America and it also links in nicely with the iPhone. Maybe there will be a Beatles or a Product Red iPhone.

speaking for america, would you be atall angry if we got 3G and you didnt?

Nope! Not me!--)) IM in the US and hope you guys get 3 G! I can just hear all the crying here!--)))

Too many want instant gratification here. So if you guys get it, good for you!

Atleast it would be out! Good Luck! :)

What is your deal with your constant hate on the Beatles? You are obviously not a musician or a music lover otherwise you would realize the influence they have had on music which is still VERY relevant to this day.

Why don't you chill out with your anti-beatles negativity for a bit, please!

The Independent is jumping the gun a bit - it is reporting that Steve Jobs has already made the announcement - this for tomorrow's paper just posted less than an hour ago:

The Independent

It reports that the iPhone is expected to go on sale "almost immediately".

i just made the switch to the iphone today. it will be interesting to see if the one announced tomorrow is the same as the us version...

I'm hoping for a 16GB iPhone in the states.

What are the chances that they do anything to the iPhone on the 25th, in spite of this event? If they do make an upgrade to the iPhone tomorrow, I don't want to wait a week before buying one.. but what if they do something else on the 25th?

Ummm, how does this guy know this :
http://www.thestreet.com/_dm/video/...annel=Market+Strategy&cm_ven=&cm_cat=&cm_ite=

Did you all catch that?
Release date of 3G phone and features?
Anyone from macrumors care to respond? Thought the news comes through the back channels before the goons on wallstreet find out.

Lets get this posted to the front page? Anyone know this guys credibility?
:apple:

Unfortunately the scumbags at thestreet.com (particularly Jim Cramer) have admitted publicly that they create false rumors to drive the stocks up and then when the rumors prove not to come true, they dump the stocks before they plummet. Jim Cramer specifically did this a couple of times (and admitted to it) when the iPhone first came out.

Example: Steve Jobs had hoped to sell 100,000 to 200,000 phones the opening weekend, but Jim Cramer (and other analysts) started spreading the rumor that Apple sold 750, 000 the first weekend; their stocks went through the roof ($150 per share) and then when the rumor was proved false, they plummeted (to $129).
