Mine Functions even Worse

The vid didn't even show the Maps. I work in doorstep service and the gps+maps are my lifeline. This update has literally started making me late to appointments, because of the amount of time it takes to enter a new destination. It will literally sit there frozen for 5min while it finds my current location.

Battery life is down the crapper also.

The iPhone 3G is two years old. Time to upgrade folks (or switch to android). There are plenty of bones to pick with Apple, but this is not one of them IMHO.

Just to put things into perspective, the venerable (and now retired) G1 is newer than the iPhone 3G.

Umm....You know apple was selling the 3g right up the release of iPhone 4. That means a person (and I'm sure some did) could have bought a brand new 3g a week before iPhone 4. They need to upgrade? Get real.

Any chance Apple are going to fix the *MASSIVE* problem of the 3Gs rebooting after 5-minute phone calls? A phone should allow phone calls, if nothing else!

Ouch! The second link there is an 81 page thread.

When is there going to be a criminal investigation into what Apple has done with the iOS 4 update?

You know what would be great?

It would be great if Apple spent more time insuring that their current products WORK than in releasing the next quick money-making item.

I have an essentially bricked iPhone 3G, iTunes pinwheels constantly and crashes frequently even on my new MBP. These are problems experienced by literally MILLIONS of loyal customers, and what does Apple do? Nothing. Just release more products. In the long run, this is very poor business practice.

Apple is very quickly loosing one loyal customer in particular.
