Everything is relative, and this price dip seems huge due to Apple's MKT CAP, but it's pretty meaningless in the grand scope of things. If Apple keeps doing well no one will remember this in a few weeks or months.

Yep. People are dumb but you can't convince them of that. Lol.

You do know how stock market works, right? And if you do then why do you say that? And if you don't then why did you get in in the first place?

Once it gets back up, I’m selling, can’t stomach this.

All major stock hikes will go through a correction period, this was inevitable.

Apple is a strong company, the stock will stabilise and start to climb again. It might take some time, but just wait. :)

Watching the price go up and down is pretty much all of the fun, but if you've put savings you can't afford to lose into a stock... maybe don't get involved.

The real answer is a cute little battery company has a new tech with a solid electrolyte, it’s real, it recharges in minutes, it has zero fire risk, and it’s coming to market NOW. Tesla is taking a huge hit with it’s giant capital investment in conventional Li+ “wet” batteries.

Smart money all went to KCAC a week ago.

Am I the only one that is happy when Apple’s stock takes a big hit.

It allows you to buy the stock at a better price. There seems to be one constant in this world; Apple’s stock always seems to double after 12 - 18 months.
In the world of fractional shares, it doesn't really matter anymore, as you can always buy Apple stock regardless of how much $ you put into it.

What bubble r u referring to?
They’re referring to the “TINA” bubble, or the there-is-no-alternative bubble caused by 0% interest rates for a decade. People are investing without questioning future returns and economic growth/fundamentals. The “buy-and-hold” strategy works, until it doesn’t. Just ask Japan.

Meh. Expected after the split.

Will likely drop to a little over $100, the realistic evaluation, then start creeping up to about $175 over the course of a year or three. This is an obvious long term hold and safe haven for retirement funds.
The entire market has been in a bubble state lately, not just Apple. Still is.

Only buy these dips if you have long term disposable money and can deal with volatility. It is highly likely Apple stock will hit $100 (or lower) before it hits $150. There are dangers and volatility ahead because political parties and the media have turned the world into a battleground and they won’t change this nasty habit until each side has their way or the masses rises up and say ‘Enough is enough. We want peace not madness.’

It’s all part of learning an investor’s risk tolerance. Losing money can feel much worse than making money feels good.
Agreed. This is not financial advice , but maybe for those interested in investing it's a good idea to set parameters for your personal risk tolerance and build your portfolio accordingly. One way to manage risk is to calculate the percentage of your portfolio you're willing to invest in more volatile securities and balance it out with options and t-bills as a hedge.

Someone at Barron's should go back to school and learn how percentages work LOL

Lets get back to rumors now please ;-)

Buy the dip. Apple is a long team hold IMO. The only thing that would seriously hurt Apple long term would be some sort of Anti-Monopoly legislation in the Eurasia or US markets.

The whole Tech sector is currently. Retail investors are learning the hard way that stonks can also go down.

why? investors already have that in the price of the stock

Any investors that know release date (how long the delay will be), whether it has 120hz, other features, and are trading on that information... are committing insider trading. They also don’t know how strong initial demand will be.
