Back in the olden days I found a site detailing how to do this on a PowerBook. Never dared crack open that PowerBook back then and I don't dare do it to my Macbook! Does look nice. Probably the only mod I'd ever consider.

OP: Meh all he did was cut out the Apple logo with an exacto knife so the back of teh screen shows through 😀

Such a cool mod, by far the best/most complex mod I've seen of the Apple logo, kudos to the modder.

I've seen this a few times before, sadly it cant be done anymore as its nearly impossible to do on a Unibody but nice mod 🙂

If you had access to the correct tools you could do it, apple got the display in a unibody, I'm sure you can get it out.

The screen panel is built into the display housing, i've taken a few apart and its not easy without causing obvious damage.
