Apple MacBook Pro A1226 Windows Operating system install with no boot camp

I have a Apple MacBook Pro A1226 I goyt for $2.50 and I know the opertating system for it are not supported so I guess would not be updated

Can I install Windows 10 with out the bootcamp ? program
This is a first time I have done this I usally have windows pc's

Hope not confusing

P.S. I am plaining on a 500GB hard drive for it as it has a 120GB now with a bad opaering sysytrem

Win10 will be out of support (unless you pay Extended Support Program) by Oct 2025. Software support for Windows 10 can last a couple extra years after that, like 2030.
The Linux support is dependent on how well your chosen distro supports the hardware (though not all of them) and whether the Linux kernel will support your hardware or not.
Boot Camp has driver packages that you need to obtain from somewhere so that your old Mac can have correct drivers installed.
 
and if I want Linux I was thinking about Elementary OS or OpenSUSE Linux - Tumbleweed
as if I put the os it should be on this system updates I am sure ended and broswer will not work as that version will not update (too old)
 
You can install Windows without using Boot Camp... You just need to connect to the internet and download the tool from below:

Brigadier - A Windows- and OS X-compatible Python script that fetches, from Apple's or your software update server, the Boot Camp ESD ("Electronic Software Distribution") for a specific model of Mac.

It will download the drivers compatible with your MacBook Pro...

I used it to install Windows 10 on my 2015 MacBook Pro 15" without needing to use Boot Camp... I have macOS 10.15 Catalina and Windows 10 running in dual boot [Boot Camp in Apple terminology]
