My macbook alu has a dent on the right side of the screen which caused coloured lines to fill a portion of the left side of the screen. This happened Im guessing because one of my friends dropped it.

I am still under guarantee and im guessing that the guarantee does not cover this problem.

I am just curious if this is the case, and what other options do I have for fixing it. Im guessing replacing the screen but I have heard that can cost over 500 euros.

Thanks Casi

Well AppleCare and limited warranty is now out of the question. The only option is to either do it yourself or get a 3rd party do it for you but you would still have to cover the cost. Right now, it comes down to where can you the parts/labor needed at the cheapest price.
