I recently upgraded from an iPhone 11 to an iPhone 14 Pro which now has MagSafe. So I was pretty excited about getting some Magsafe accessories. I've long wanted a cordless battery extender/charger. I narrowed my options to the Apple MagSafe Battery Pack, the Anker 621 and Anker 622.

I just wanted to give some quick thoughts on these for people as they are making their decisions. I liked all of the chargers for different reasons. I ended up going with Apple for a few reasons. 1) I wanted the smallest and lightest battery. I am totally OK with getting 60% max charge, 2) Apple's battery didn't get as hot as the Anker batteries, 3) I liked the way Apple approached the phone's battery management (and yes, I understand that in high heat scenarios charging could stop, and 4) I liked the way it looked on the back of the Pro from a sizing perspective. Probably only two complaints, 1) wish the Apple charger had more than 1 light indicator to tell you battery life instead of having to attach it to know and 2) the price - a lot more expensive. Side note, if they had not updated the firmware to support 7.5 watt charging I probably would have passed on it.

Anyway...just my two cents. No wrong decision between these. Love not having cables when charging. Thanks to others who commented to help me make my decision.

FYI, Apple designed it to be a great battery extender. Don’t wait until your phone dies to put it on.

I'm using iPhone 13 Pro and considering buying a MagSafe battery pack too,

1. Anker Maggo 621, 622 with 5000mAh and 633 with 10,000mAh (really massive compare to the others), affordable price but have overheating issue (some claimed their phone stop charging due to overheat) and only MagSafe compatible (Qi wireless charging with magnet array) in stead of MagSafe certificate (MagSafe charging animation show when attached)

2. HyperJuice MagSafe Battery with 5000mAh, have MagSafe certificate but I couldn't find if it has overheating issue or not, this one is not even shipped with a USB C to C cable like Anker

3. Appler Battery Pack, good overall, only 01 lightning cable needed, but I expect more capacity or a cheaper price compare to about a half of its alternatives

The Apple battery extender also acts as a nice Magsafe charger when plugged in (at 15W). Might be more worthwhile than the Apple/Belkin Magsafe cable alone.

I grabbed the new anker with the pop socket to start with. But may pick up the apple in the future too.

Check Benks magsafe chargers.
Sadly most of them overheats phone when charging

To buy it cheaper, create account add to basket and left website - you will get 10-15% discount code :p

I bought one from amazon today, 5k Mah. After viewing a few reviews, its almost identical in size and shape to Apple battery and it runs cool.
It will arrive tomorrow, so I will post my thoughts on it after few days of use.

Thanks for recomindation.

Debating getting the Apple MagSafe charger, only downside/annoyance, is there is no way to have the Battery Charger and the wallet on the iPhone (not a big issue as one can stay in pocket whilst the other is on the phone, just a slight annoyance for me personally)
