The rumors were that the magnets were changing in the 16s, which is why I started the thread (and why I had assumed Apple discontinued this item). Interesting that it still works. Thanks for all replies.

Yesterday I bought an Anker MagSafe battery pack for my iPhone 16 PM and it’s working just fine.

I use a UGreen MagSafe 5000mah power bank with my 16 Pro. Works fine and only cost about £20

Been using my Apple MagSafe battery pack with my 16 Pro (in a first party silicone case) just fine. Minor frustration of one being USB-C and the other lightening, but they work just fine together.
