Mine is cracking and yellowing at all four corners. I’m super annoyed by how poorly it’s held up. Had it since launch day. Contacted them for a replacement about a months ago and never got a follow up call.

Well, I just got off the phone with Apple and they are sending me a free replacement. I had to submit a bunch of pictures to support my claim that the crack wasn’t the result of dropping the phone or some other version of accidental damage.

After that, a supervisor confirmed all my information and processed the replacement. Next step should be an email with a tracking number. I’ll post again when this occurs.

EDIT: I just remembered that she first offered to replace my case with a silicone or leather case, “to add color”.

That seemed strange to me, but maybe they recognize the weakness of this model and are trying to steer people away from repeating this process over and over.

I hope the new one works out; we’ll see.

My replacement case arrived today from Apple!

It seems like they don’t even want the old one back, so I guess I have a beater case now. I hope anyone else here who wants a free replacement is able to get it.

How are you guys getting a replacement? I did a chat and long call with Apple today telling them I was frustrated that I spent 50 bucks on a case when I could’ve spent a third of that on Amazon just to have it cracked in all the corners and by the volume buttons. They said they can’t do anything because it’s more than 14 days after I ordered. I was hoping for a replacement.

Take it into store and explain the situation. Remain calm and they will help you as best they can.

I told them - on a phone call to AppleCare - that my case was still in pristine condition, thus the cracks were absolutely not the result of “wear and tear”. They finally sent me a link to share photos of my case, which convinced them.
 
Seems like that would be the easiest but there are none in South Georgia yet unfortunately

Just curious. On your phone call do you remember what level your complaint was elevated too by Customer Service? Sometimes with Apple you need to request to talk to the next support level above the person you currently have on the phone.
