Apple Mail and Verizon not compatible?

I just got a new Verizon email address, and want to set up apple mail to work with it. I already have my gmail account working perfectly in apple mail with the following settings:

incoming: pop.gmail.com (port 995)
outgoing: smtp.gmail.com (port 587 & SSL)

What should my settings be for the verizon email address? I really want to be able to check both email addresses in apple mail.

any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

incoming (POP3): incoming.verizon.net
outgoing (SMTP): outgoing.verizon.net

I got that part... its the ports that i think is messing me up...
