Apple Mail - Is Outbox missing or just gone?

Where is the damed outbox gone?

I have two large emails stuck sending - I want to stop these. There is an issue with failed mail drop and each mail lis over 100MB each, so they're not going to get to their destination.

Did Apple remove the outbox?

My Mail (10.14.6) has mailboxes "Drafts" and "Sent" (that is US English version). Your mail should be in one of them.

The Outbox only appears when there are messages in progress, not yet sent.

But, have you tried opening the 'Activity' panel from the 'Window' menu and cancelling from there?

I closed Mail.app and when it re-opened the message was no where to be fond. Gone from sending and not in drafts and I am sure I CMD + S the email, I spent an hour writing it ffs - CMD + S is a Tourettes like reflex at this point in life!!!!

I'll keep a closer eye on this in the future Apple mail for the first time a few months ago also lost all my smart mailboxes, and the inbox started to not behave as before. I'm on latest Mojave (Beta Dev) but from reading up on this it appears to have happened to so many people with mail.app over so many versions of OS X / MacOS it's almost like you're not in the club if it hasn't happened to you!
