What am I missing?

When I log into Apple Mail it deletes all previous emails when new mail comes in?

Today it said something about 6 incoming messages but displayed two.

This occurred on my Macbook Pro 10.5.6

Apple Mail Version Version 3.5 (930.3/930.4)

Now it seem as though all messages disappear when MAIL checks for new messages.

This is occurring on my iMac as well.

I guess I should be happy my other mail client is working! ;)

Well... have you tried deleting your Mail account from mail and then re-instating it??? or if that doesn't work.. delete Apple Mail's PLIST file... and then reset it up... IT should keep any "Rules or stuff like that..." that you had before..

Problem Solved - Sort Of

I discovered that the email account was on another email client.

That client was set to " Delete Message From Server ".

Once I told it to keep message on the server, the Mail client kept the messages in the INBOX.

It seems that Apple Mail will only display messages that are on the server.

I have to find the setting to keep copies of the mail in the Inbox.
