After upgrading to OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 last week, I've lost scrolling on the message viewer of Mail 7.3 (1878.6/1878.2).
Nested messages only appear as snapshots of the message details in the message viewer, and the message only loads as much as the screen allows, no scrolling, unless I reply to the message and scrolling returns!

Any advice?

Hmm. Have you tried toggling the "always show scroll bars" setting in General Prefs in System Prefs? maybe that would help it go back to normal.

Apple Mail message viewer scrolling disappeared

Yes, thanks Rob
Tried that. Scrolling appears throughout everything else, even the list my emails in my Inbox and all messages are arriving/sent, just not on the message viewer. The fact that I'm also only seeing snapshots of nested messages also makes me think I've got a software corruption, but would welcome any thoughts.
