I have many rules in Apple Mail, and they've been working fine until I started using the iPhone.

For some reason, Mail doesn't apply rules to email I've already read. So if I read them on my iPhone first, then sync Apple Mail on my Mac, because the emails get downloaded marked as "already read", it doesn't seem to apply the rules. This is really annoying as iPhone itself does not have ways of executing Apple Mail rules. Is there a way to get the rules to apply to both "read" and "unread" mails?

add me to the list

Same thing happens to me, although in my case I am reading messages from the same account on two macs (one is running tiger and another - leopard). Tiger mail seems to apply rules ok, but Leopard mail ignores rules on any messages that had been previously read on the Tiger machine.

Do you want to file a bug report? Hopefully they will fix this in the next iteration of OS update, since Mail even at 10.5.4 is still teeming with BUGS:eek:.
