Apple Makes It Easy to Donate to Red Cross's LA Wildfire Relief Efforts

If only the elite and companies would donate half as much money to a good cause as they do for lobbying ...

After the Ahtal Disaster in 2021, my employer sent out a memo to employees, suppliers and customers at Christmas. The money that usually went to the Christmas party for employees, the presents for suppliers and customers was all cancelled and was donated to the Ahrtal Relief Fund instead.

It found almost universal approval from the employees.

Taylor Swift donates $10 million. Me thinks Apple and other giants can easily donate $100 million out of pocket to go towards relief. And by all means stay away from the Red Cross. Go coordinate with pre-existing ones in Malibu and other locales already used to dealing with large fires to get resources allocated.

Taylor Swift isn't owned by shareholders. Let those shareholders make their own corporate or personal contributions rather than impose on them.

Ah ha ha. Very funny.

25 dead, 12000 structures destroyed, more than 150000 people evacuated, and 23000 acres of land burned. The long term impacts from toxins released by the wildfires could kill many more (thousands are estimated to die in CA already from fire-released toxins), and, when the rain does come, there are likely to be landslides and an environmental catastrophe as the toxins wash into the rivers and the ocean.
