For all Mankind is a pretty solid show. I’d say it gets better after the first few episodes.
The Morning Show was OK but I didn’t care for the gratuitous language. It’s possible to write a script without every other word being an f-bomb.Yeah, this two shows are the only two I completed. I really enjoyed Mythic Quest. The Morning Show was good, but not great. Don't know if I would subscribe yearly just for those though. Right now AppleTV + looks like a one month a year to binge type of service for me.
I can play all episodes of the listed shows (and I am not subscribed).I've only looked at the first three series listed in the post; but it appears to be just the first two of episodes, for any series, that are free. Anything more and you have to pay. If so, it looks more like a rather dissappointing "bait and hook" offer than an act of altruism by Apple.
Tried Mythic Quest but it was obviously targeting a younger generation. I struggled to get through 2 episodes. Or was it one? Maybe I dozed off. A big disconnect for me.
It definitely picks up around episode 3 and gets better with each episode. The pilot is the worst of the series.
I'm looking at the UK site. It may be different where you are.I can play all episodes of the listed shows (and I am not subscribed).
Don't worry, I am sure there are a couple more at least.I feel like the only person in the world who bought a regular, full-price one year Apple TV+ subscription, lol.
I was into from the start, but yeah, it does just get better and better as it goes on! I mean the storyline with the kid’s basketball game, jeez! For all Mankind is a pretty solid show. I’d say it gets better after the first few episodes.
Most people don't buy a new Apple device every year. There are an awful lot of people out there who have an Apple device to watch upon (or a participating smart TV), who have not had the offer of a free year.I’m not being pessimistic here, but what’s the point of this? Most users were offered a free trial or where given a year for free if they purchased an Apple device.
Younger generation? Really? Nobody has called me young in a long time. And I enjoyed the heck out of Mythic Quest.Tried Mythic Quest but it was obviously targeting a younger generation. I struggled to get through 2 episodes. Or was it one? Maybe I dozed off. A big disconnect for me.
Not everyone has purchased a new Apple device recently. I would imagine that there are more Apple users who didn't qualify for a free year than those that did.
ADDED - plus non-Apple users can access it if they have compatible smartTV and/or a newer-ish Roku.
No guarantees, but try icloud.com, or maybe install iTunes on her PC temporarily. Or set up an account for her yourself (maybe asking her questions over the phone), and then tell her the AppleID and password - not the most secure way to do things, but better than nothing. My cousin REALLY wants to see The Morning Show. She has no Apple devices at all and doesn’t even have iTunes on her PC... but does have a new Roku TV. I have tons of Apple devices (no brand new ones so don’t qualify for the year free trial) and have been debating signing up for the full year. But researching family sharing seems like it wouldn’t work she needs her own Apple ID to log in. Anyone know can you create one without iTunes, iPhone, Mac, or iPad lol?

Apple has been extremely cautious to keep all their shows apolitical. Even Little America stayed FAR away from politics. It's a very smart move not to alienate ~50% of American viewers.home before dark is really good also
Really surprised by the quite neutral politic tone of the morning show, it was a good surprise, a nice watch
I bought one year too. Best $50 I ever spent on a streaming service.I feel like the only person in the world who bought a regular, full-price one year Apple TV+ subscription, lol.
They are giving away 1/3 of their content library - including some of their best shows, in Servant, For All Mankind, Dickinson, and Elephant Queen. Some people are never grateful. They didn't have to give you anything.Wow giving a few lousy shows away is the best this richest of all companies can muster in these times. I am disgusted by Apple. Even now all their efforts and so called aids are just more ways of selling stuff. And don’t get me started on their $5mil donations to China. At a time they should be giving back a billion To the society that has made them they give us a few crap tv shows that many would not pay for anyway.

I really did like The Morning Show, 'ganz großes Kino' imhoI feel like you'll know after about 7 minutes if you're into this show. It does take further twists and turns (and add some emotional/personal aspects later on), though.
(I dug it.)
I also enjoyed The Morning Show more than I thought I would.
I haven't finished Little America, but did enjoy several episodes. I'm not much of a sucker for anthologies, though. I want to see character development.
I played a few minutes of Dickinson and it didn't really catch my attention. Maybe later.
