Great, great... while in Europe, we still have square forests, or green spots where there's a city, no traffic… In my region, far from the city, it's completely useless. Streets are missing, intersections are wrong with broken street whereas in real life, it's a normal street, maps sees pedestrian-only road as normal roads... useless.
I'm traveling often to all parts of Africa, and it's even worse, where there are roads in the middle of buildings and the navigation is completely wrong, ignoring totally street signs and real directions that vehicle are allowed to travel.
If you release a "world map", you cannot ignore corners of the world or consider other corners of the world as less a priority, otherwise, your release a map only for the US until the rest is done. While software make automatically most of the roads and forests and rivers and mountains, etc., humans are necessary to control and finalize maps either with orthofotos or by visiting the country. Clearly, Apple does not have sufficient employees to go around the globe and make Maps a worldwide good map. Instead, they focus on useless function like 3D Fly maps that nobody uses. The USA cover only 6.3% of the world, the rest need also to be mapped properly.

I have found this on apple's official Webpage:

"Flight status
Up-to-the-moment information about your flight terminals, gate locations, departure times, and more is now available."

Can anyone on the beta shine a light on how this feature works?

Well Apple screwed up my Maps ONLY on my iPhone. My home address and street along with 2 other streets in my development are not labeled in the new database. Problem only my iPhone is connected to the new database and not my Mac. So its good on the Mac but not on the iPhone. I sure hope Apple gets back to me on this cause now GPS geolocation will not work

Used Apple Maps in IOS13 for the first time last night navigating to and from LA. I must say I am very happy with the details - showing all the stop lights/signs and the new directions made it much easier to navigate around downtown LA. Apple Maps has been improving little by little the last few years and I must say the latest version is very accurate, detailed and so easy to use.

Looks like you & I have similar (good!) taste in ramen shops!

I switched to google maps after siri sent me in the wrong direction using apple maps.
I use Google Maps for cycling—it's smart about hills, designated bike routes, etc. That's Great!

But Google seems optimized for a very different way of driving. E.g., from my home, it often sends me away from where I'm going—so I don't have to make left turns, I guess—that adds a minute to my expected travel time. (Nope, haven't sent my wife & me on two different routes at the same time to be sure.)

I also prefer the instructions—as highlighted here, they are more clear and to me, more helpful about upcoming lane changes etc on our busy freeways/multi-lane roads.
