No argument there, but it feels like Google is about 5 years ahead in terms of the geographical area they’ve mapped for street view. And the navigation/directions aspect is not even close. I‘d say about 90% of my friends are Apple cultists and exactly none of them use Maps to get around.
I’m sure Cupertino have their reasons to keep developing this thing but it just feels like they’re limping to the finish line as a matter of pride at this point.
EDIT: mea culpa. I sheepishly admit that I hadn’t even opened Maps in ages, which I just did on my iPad. Look Around is absolutely magnitudes better than Street View. It’s impressive. And totally worth the continued effort.
