Not sure if this goes into iOS 12 or into iPhone, so I'll post it here. Recently (not sure exactly when it started) my iPhone, in both regular and CarPlay mode, stopped loading upcoming events. When I used to go into maps, the bottom of the screen would show a list of possible locations. At the top of that list would be my next upcoming event in my calendar. That is now gone.

Any have ideas on how to fix this? Not sure if it happened when I upgraded to iOS 12, or if there is something else going on.

Thanks in advance.

Go to settings/calendar and see if location suggestions is enabled
Thanks for the reply. In the calendar settings, location suggestions is turned on. Also in Privacy > Location Services > Calendar, that is set to 'While Using' which is the only option aside from 'Never'.

Have you tried a hard reset of the phone? I doubt it will fix it but it’s worth a try. Apple will most likely have you try to restore the phone using iTunes to see if it’s software related.. Have you looked in settings/Siri & search/calendar to see if find events in other apps is on. I don’t know if that effects maps though

Thanks. I tried a hard reset as well and it didn't change anything. Before I did wiped everything & started from scratch, I checked my iPad & noticed it has the same behavior (and them my work iPhone & my iPad mini). All 4 i devices have it, so either something must have changed in the way iOS works, or else, I have changed some setting across all my devices. Who knows. Thanks for the help though.
[doublepost=1543791374][/doublepost]Interestingly enough, I have an old iPhone 5, running iOS 10, that I keep around but just to check my work email from home when I need to. I just checked that & it works correctly (upcoming events show up in Maps).

I wonder if anyone else can confirm if this behavior shows up for them on an iDevice running iOS 12?

Maps on my iPhone 6s with iOS 12.1 does not suggest direction to upcoming events.

Ok, thank you! Sounds like this is a change in how iOS works, rather than a setting I need to update. I appreciate you taking the time to check it on your system and let me know.

I feel like mine does this randomly, but I can’t figure out how to make it consistent. Maybe if an event has a “Time to Leave” alert?

Interesting. I have a lot of events with time to leave alerts but I don’t get any notifications. I will have to play around with specific events to see if there is some kind of trigger point that I’m missing. Thanks for the idea. I’ve looked at every possible setting I can think of, but not necessarily looking at specific events as I can’t get any to show up, but I’ll pursue this avenue.

Will do. So far nothing, but you’re right, it is intermittent. I had an event pop up yesterday. I have no idea why. This is driving me nuts.

Lately, my “Time to Leave” notifications aren’t even working... :/
Yah the whole Maps integration into other apps seems to be wonky all around lately. My events started showing up in the maps app again last week, but then they disappeared again. I hope your Tine to Leave feature starts working again. It's hard to trust it when it fails periodically.
