Starting around iOS 16, Apple Maps began pronouncing "Dr", as in "Drive", as "der", as in "derby". I've filed out at least five notices about it but it still continues. They should be ashamed. Apple software has declined significantly over the last several years.

Look Around, which was first introduced in iOS 13, is also expanding to all of these countries starting today.
Errr expanding but its still not completed in the US? Hey how about finishing the job. I can drive across the Nullabor in Australia with "Look Around"yet a city with 300K people in the USA still doesn't get Look Around. Dumb. That's like releasing iOS 17 to only 40% of iPhone 14 Pro users, why do you think its OK to only half deliver to a country?

Looking around feels nice and the photos are only 1,5 years old. Google still uses some photos from 2009 in my area. Entire streets are missing from those.

On the other hand, several years ago Google actually photographed the rather large pedestrian-only area in the city center.
Apple’s photos end where the pedestrian zone begins. Major walking & cycling routes around the city are completely missing too. Google Maps does offer street view for those.

Kinda disappointed that they’re using some old maps for Sweden. My neighborhood wasn’t even built in the map they’re using (and it had existed for like 5 years now).

I use Apple Maps for places I go to frequently but for anything new to me I have to use either Waze or Google because Apple will place me down weird back passage streets and off all main streets. It’s really strange. I’m in Singapore.

Love Espoo! Visiting Finland this fall again I cannot wait!

Exciting to see Apple Maps expanding :)!

🇫🇮 proud Finn living in the USA 🇺🇸
