The blistering pace at which Apple Maps gets features rolled out around the world is truly astonishing.

I am so gut wrenchingly amazed that I just want Apple to slow down and catch a breath before I am completely overwhelmed with rapidly expanding capabilities!

At this rate Google Maps is in real trouble for sure. Doomed.

Maybe Apple should sack half the Apple Maps team to give Google a breather. How about the old dude with emphysema that doesn’t like to travel anymore, and just retain the young hipster on his own, you know the one that does the coding and doesn’t get out much. A fifty percent saving on wages would help Mr Cook’s margins no end.

Hopefully not on the route shown in the screen grab....

I wonder if someone at Apple thought that Timmerman was the airport?

If you can’t ride from the Hilton downtown to Timmerman then you’re probably not comfortable in any large metro city unless it’s for work. It’s no different than taking the metro in Chicago, D.C., NYC, etc....

I’d understand if you said there’s no reason to take a bus out there but the metro isn’t that “dangerous” to anyone outside of suburbanites.

Omaha with 900,000+ people in its metro area is a medium sized US city, aligned a little towards the smaller end of the scale.

Place the Omaha metro in Europe and it’s now a big city, coming in around 38th largest after Naples Italy. And that includes Russian cities and the large centers of London, Paris, Berlin and Rome. Yes they all dwarf Omaha. They also dwarf Amsterdam and Copenhagen and Frankfurt , all cities that Omaha is larger than.

I

I’m in Phoenix too. What app lets you buy a bus passes from within it?? No more swiping would be nice.

Also the app Transit gives real-time bus times, as well as Google, but Transit has a better UI, imo.
RideKick app, send me a PM, test phase for now and I’m working with Valley Metro for deployment & testing.

Dude China has been completely mapped since the start. Is just behind the Great Firewall of China so you can’t see it. Only locals can.

I really wish they’d make the China transit maps available outside of China. I love looking at Apple’s transit maps and China has so many subway systems. :(

Why does every small town in the US get this and Europe has barely any coverage at all...
The Netherlands is covered in full. Train, metro (subway), tram, bus, night bus, ferry, etc. All services are included. From Amsterdam to Arnhem, Groningen to Rotterdam and Vlissingen to Maastricht. As a Dutch citizen I can't complain.
