Probaly lucky because im from the Netherlands :)
Everything is working well. Looking up POI's works very well and the data of the images is newer then google maps. its probaly because tomtom is a dutch company :D
And its only a small farmer-like town where i live with no big cities around so yeah im very happy :)

On my third gen ipad the 3d lags alot though and needs alot of time to load.

i never use public transportation in the maps app itself. It never worked in my country anyways.

I do have to say it all looks alot more blurred when zoomed out. Versus google maps it looks alot sharper.

Well in your case I can see where maps is good yes.
