Someone commented that they went back to the border radius used in Sequoia and previously. Even if they shrunk the border radius from Tahoe, it doesn't look like they shrunk it by that much. Screenshots will let us actually measure it!
If you mean me, no. I said that sidebar now looks almost exactly like in Sequoia. Not as a ramble, but in reply to:

For one year we saw two guys defend the ridiculous round corners and lack of title bar and gaslight anyone who didn’t like it. Now Apple brought back the title bar and restored the classic corners and the Yosemite sidebar.

The border radius is indeed smaller than the Tahoe radius (for first-party Apple apps), but it is larger than the "medium radius" apps I mentioned running on Tahoe (i.e. Firefox) — and of course, certainly considerably larger than it was on Sequoia.

I don't particularly care, as long as they moved to it being consistent across the board, which is what it sounded like they were doing in the keynote.

Literally Sequoia style sidebar (which started with Big Sur)
Looking at the keynote, it is similar, but not the same. The window content can still go underneath the sidebar, which wasn't possible before macOS 26. (Which raises the question: will both the desktop and the window content affect the sidebar appearance?) The selected item will also be displayed in bold font.

Apple can just give us a global slider for the corner radius and be done with it.

Everyone can pick what they want - from sharp rectangular corners to as big as on Tahoe.
Off (rectangular, no rounding - good for monitors)
Small (like on Sequoia)
Medium (between Sequoia and Tahoe)
Large (like on Tahoe)

The only problem I have with the corner radius is in Music. Album and CD artwork do not have corner radii and it looks so wrong to add them there.
