I wish Apple would bring back the woven nylon bands. Why did they discontinue them?

Milanese is so cheap. Will never pay Apple 100€ for it when I can get one on Ali express for 2,50. It’s literally just running metal through a chain link machine, there is no superior Apple quality to it.

Damn. I wish I had these instead of the current milanese.

Product wise, it's obviously too fat and I'm sure the clip with be thinner. But having it at a fixed (but adjustable) position like in the clone is great... one of the worst things, really the only bad thing, about the current loop is that it's endlessly and effortlessly adjustable, as opposed to having a fixed position like other bands...

It makes you adjust it a million times and day and you can never find a sweetspot

Prediction: This will be the biggest innovation announced today...
It saddens me that this is even news worthy! I saw this coming back when Steve was around and they introduced some “designer” accessory and it dawned on me, Apple “sees the light” of being a “Fashionista” and here we are looking at a stupid, non-tech Apple strap because it’s a slight different colors, weave, design or look but no “real” innovation that’s going to improve our lives. News worthy, hardly and yet there are hundreds of small inventors and small companies that would practically kill for this level of FREE coverage! @appleinsider how about some free coverage for the small guys!?

These loops were/are beautiful.
I realized over time that fine cashmere and wool sweaters could not be worn with it.
The cuff of those sweaters would get "chewed" up litttle by little over time
If you wore a sweater with that loop enough times you'd have a worn, ragged cuff.
No bueno!

I assume this redesign will address this among other things.
Really nice to have it back as it's been one of the more "beautiful" bands

what in the Aliexpress garbage is this? Looks like a clunky third party band. Would Apple really release something with that clasp? I guess we'll find out in a few hours.

Hmmmnn...On one hand they haven't changed the Milanese at all since the original Apple Watch 10 years ago. On the other this seems to lose its elegance.

This doesn't look like an Apple product.
Did the Ultra?

Maybe it’s a consolation prize for Ultra 2 owners? Something to buy instead of a U3 because the upgrade isn’t worth it this year?

I’d guess the silver Titanium will go for $249. Black $100 more.

You know what in that light yeah you're probably not far off. Ultra has a distinct lack of 1st party "luxury" bands, too.

Moving away from magnetic clasps make sense if this is for the Ultra crowd; I wouldn't want to climb or bike with something that could work its way loose. It even looks like it could be Ti instead of SS.

If so, a 'rugged' milanese band could co-exist with the current one; would also explain this being 45/49mm only (and resolve those rumors from last week of 'no small Watch', although I'm still hopefully there's a 45mm small Ultra on the way!).

I have used the Milanese loop on all 3 of my watches, looks good, cleans up well and I never had a problem with them. This new rumoured Milanese loop is madness  that bump under your wriest sliding over your desk when working and not to mention bashing on your furniture, scratching the dining table. 🥴🥴

Damn, I liked this one better than the real one just revealed.

EDIT: Nevermind, this rumored one pairs with the Ultra!
