I do not like X in any fashion, but I truly feel sorry for you if life is so entirely black and white for you. So much beauty in life lives in the nuance of how each of us sees the world around us. Promoting the reductionist, zero sum game ideology of black and white "either or" thinking steals beauty from the world, regardless of how "good" a cause is. I humbly suggest reconsidering posts like this. You obviously have a lot of emotion around this, so it is understandable though.
Yes we really miss out on life when we stand up against hate and exclusion. Life is so much more beautiful when people express their bigotry 🙄

this is business, pure and simple.

being a SJW is markettable and all, unless it affects the bottom line.

Absolutely disgusting. I encourage everyone to email Tim (tcook@apple.com) and (respectfully!) express your utter contempt and disappointment at his recent pro-Trump moves. I did it on inauguration day and haven't received a response (nor did I expect to), but I'm sure someone is reading them and compiling stats.
I just send Tim an email, probably won’t make a difference.

Just in case anyone thought Apple was different or better…. It’s clearly not. Multi trillion dollar companies only ever care about the bottom line. I’m sure they’d drop their environmental plans if they thought it was losing them money too.

You seem to be using the BOLD text a lot and have some very strong sentiment surrounding this topic. Maybe if it is this triggering, an internet forum is not the best conduit for you to engage on stuff like this? It's not like you didn't know what you were going to get into when you started down the path of looking at and commenting on this article...

Just a thought but maybe "sit out" some of these so you don't have to deal with the emotional toll it has on you? Life is too short...
Sorry bud. That is exactly how Nazi sympathizers win. They need to feel shamed, called out, like a pariah, exposed. Etc etc.

You wouldn’t see a cockroach in a house and assume the problem would go away. You’d set poison and traps. This is that. Imagine if our grands let that Hitler guy live to 95…

Now the shoe is on the other foot.

a little girl is laughing in a black and white photo and saying lol .

This makes total sense. X is the global public square, there is a massive audience there. The other platforms are all equally "problematic". Anyone trying to make this political simply needs to grow up.

The owner of Twitter is a Nazi who is for all intents and purposes a top ranking official in the Government who was never nominated or elected and is trying to gut everything.

This is clearly political.

I hate this.
But there is nothing I can do about it... Wait no I can. I can do as I did when they tried to break my iPhone 6 on purpose and gaslight me about it, I can sit through the next 3 updates until my 11 is completely dead.

I don't want a ****** black or white SE anyway. I want color.

This is one of those situations where there was a lot of barking about X but there wasn't actually any biting. X is fine. Or it became fine when Meta also gave up the ghost when it came to fact checking.

X is not fine. We know Musk blocks and shadow bans accounts, tweaks the algorithms to push his agenda, censors messages, …

Are you saying that Community Notes are the right solution, and "X is fine" because it's moderated by the community instead of a politically-biased corporate entity?

X is run by a politically-biased billionaire. No amount of community notes can fix this.

"It isn't a swastika, it's a Hindu symbol of divinity!"

If you don't think Musk telling Germans last week they shouldn't "lose [German culture] in some sort of multiculturalism that dilutes everything" isn't him having an affinity for Nazis, I don't know what to tell you.

Tons of Christian fundamentalists are also very supportive of Israel. Why? Because they believe it will bring about the second coming of Christ, who will force the Jews to convert or kill them all in the Rapture.
I'll address the issue in German and obviously, just an opinion on my part, - Lots of people in the EU are frustrated with the negative impact that the "refugees" have made in their respective nations. Germany is no different. Sadly, because of the very open and liberal policies, many are frustrated and want the refugees out. Sadly, when things get to this degree extremists attach themselves and exploit the situation. I don't disagree with Musk wanting German/European culture to not be lost due to the influx of these immigrants. This is not like the case were a group comes in and by the 2nd or 3rd generation they have fully assimilated. This group has no intention of assimilation but rather when able, altering the system and culture. Is Musk wrong to agree that is a bad thing?

As for Christian Fundamentalists, okay some support Israel. I favour Israel and not a Christian Fundamentalist. I recall Trump being called anti-semitic and he certainly seemed more than contrary to those accusations.

Jarman, I am not trying to counter your concerns just don't quite see things the way you do. However, as I said in another response, I'll remain open to changing my views upon new events as acknowledged.

Elon is a nazi - it being a trolling nazi or full fleged nazi is besides the point - it's all the same.

So the world richest man endorsing the far-right party of Germany, who has a very rich history of a far right party, and we just chalk it up as an innocent concern for european culture?

For god sakes, Trump just announced a concentration camp and Elon is effectively more involved in governing than Trump is.

Is he endorsing the party itself or in tacit agreement with their disdain for the impact of the open border policy for "refugees" that is altering and diminishing the culture of that nation? It is sad when centrists find themselves in the same camp as extremes on either side. Germany, England, and a few others are seeing this odd polarization of the middle pushed to one side because of the grief going on. The extreme nature of open borders has made this issue predictable. The only thing I can say as a side note is I am not a fan of much of what Musk sees as vision but I don't see him as a Nazi, a Christian Fundamentalist, or a fascist and, - I don't mean to get you or others angry or frustrated. We simply differ on this topic.

Elon Musk's father said Elon's maternal grandparents were Canadians who were Hitler supporters and members of a Canadian Nazi-supporting party, and decided to move from Canada to South Africa because they sympathized with apartheid.

The source of that information is the video linked below. The relevant portion of the video is two minutes long. It starts at 52:30 and ends at 54:30.
