I wonder how many people decide to just unenroll from iPhone Forever (or whatever the heck Apple called their version of DVC) over this email. Does anyone really want Apple automatically charging their bank accounts when Apple can't figure out automatic emails?

Not to worry, everyone, for we have received the official word from Apple: "Apple sends e-mails to specific customers from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans."

Guess I’m officially old based on this reply…

What has happened to the English language over the past couple of years. I get it’s “the internet” and I’m cool with slang but starting the tweet off with “no but actually” followed by a question… what is that? Not that it affects my day to day life, but it’s just weird. Languages evolve but this doesn’t seem like an evolution.

I’m sure Apple will remedy this. Things happen.

Yup. Got the email at 8pm Wednesday. Had a major wtf moment as I gave my phone in person at the Apple Store. Waited 45 min on hold to be told she “thinks” it’s a mistake and wanted me to call citizens. I’m like no thanks you’ve wasted enough of my time already. Kinda shocked it’s been over 12 hours and no follow up email addressing their mistake. Do better Apple.

It's a serious **** show when Apple tells you "we didn't get your trade in" that you did in fact ship to them -- been through it, a real nightmare.

This also could very well have signaled that one's Apple account had been hacked and someone had figured out a scam involving fake trade-ins.

So alarm is justified, IHMO.

I understand wanting to get it clarified and resolved but the free world does not hang in the balance over a few hundred dollars that people have been waiting for anyway. That’s all I’m saying.

You know Apple has ran out of exciting new stuff when things like these became news lol

I read the headline, and because "Canceled" was in quotes I honestly thought the story was about a minor typo, because obviously, it should be "Cancelled"...
