Hahahahahaha.

❌ continue using high quality titanium
✅ blame magsafe stands for scratches and try to hide them

I will not going to buy iphone again with aluminum chassis. Especially those toy looking “pro” versions.

To be fair to the MagSafe stands it's more the matt glass which is causing the issue rather than aluminium. It's affecting all the phones especially in the darker colours. I had also noticed this issue last year when matt glass was introduced on the iPhone 16 but it seemed to not get picked up for some reason.

instead of admitting they made the pros out of cheap materials they shifting the blame on the chargers typical apple
The materials are probably not cheap and it's not just cheap materials that will leave marks.

I don't know how a silicon material won't, over time, leave marks. It will from the residue.

Noticed it yesterday. But it didn't have the satisfying "snap" and it seemed more finicky about correct placement to stick properly.

Edit : I've always disliked anodized aluminium. Ever since I had purple Machine Tech cantis in the 90s 😎

They had scuffs on the GLASS. And EVERY iPhone has GLASS on its back.

Understand? The scuffs were on the SAME MATERIAL that EVERY OTHER iPhone has.

Apple made the change because fools won't stop claiming the new phones are made of "cheap" materials.

What does a phone made of aluminum have to do with its GLASS back getting scuffed? It has NOTHING to do with what metal the phone is made of. The GLASS was showing scuffs.

MacRumors shows a picture of GLASS with scuffs on the back of a TITANIUM iPhone Air.

People in this thread: "I knew that aluminum iPhone 17 Pro was made of cheap material!"

Matte glass backs were showing scuffs, and Apple addressed it in their stores.
I'm not sure how this is anything more than a non-issue, or why people think scuffs on glass has anything to do with the metal a phone is made of.

Aluminum Gate. I wonder if Apple 🍎 will use a new scratch resistant finish material on the 18 Pro Models next year.

Alu is superior to Ti on a consumer device. The switch to Ti was unbelievable and purely marketing driven.
And now the iPhone is positioned to adequately cool for the next year of processors. Plus, with the camera plateau in place, the phone is also positioned for the lenses to get bigger and Apple to further target the pro-sumer phone market.

The plateau chips so how do the Apple bumpers on for the Air protect it? Give us a silicone case for the Air please.
