Apple Motion graphics for iweb?

I've spent days searching for the answer to this question but no luck, so I'm really hoping someone can help me out!

I want to create a website using iweb, but would like to customize some animated text/graphics externally to import into my iweb site. I want to know if I can do this using Apple Motion, and if so what would the general process be? (eg. do I have to convert to gif file from Motion?). Also, which preset do I select in Motion for web design if I can do this?
