Apple Music beeping and skipping

When listening to music in the car it will randomly make beeping noises and often will skip like an old CD player. Anyone else experience this?

I also get the known issue where it'll just stop the music at random.

iPhone 6 64GB T-Mobile. Connected via lightning cable.
