Hi,
I've only just noticed this week that whenever I plug my iPhone into my iMac (Apple Silicon) that when it syncs it no longer just syncs new tracks but resyncs my entire music library. I have 87Gb of music so as you can appreciate this takes a couple of hours every time.

I'm fully up to date on Big Sur (11.4) and my iPhone OS is on 14.7 but it did the same at 14.6. During this time I have had my iPhone replaced by Apple for hardware issues but both iPhones are doing the same.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Mine does the same and it's bloody annoying - I have things like Christmas playlists that I leave un-ticked the rest of the year and they all get synced over when I am using Apple Music! My solution was to cancel Apple Music which isn't ideal

I don't subscribe to Apple Music just my own personal library. Interesting that I'm not the only one with this issue.

I also have my own local iTunes library but never encounters this issue. I am using iTunes 12.6.5.3 in Windows machine though so this might be the reason. Never actually synced the device in Big Sur or Monterey (where iTunes are not supported).
