If you’re impatient and want to try out how Spatial Audio works for Music, there is a way.

Make sure you have AirPods Pro/Max. In settings> accessibility> AirPods, turn off “Follow iPhone/iPad”. Turn on Spatial Audio. Listen to Apple Music videos.

Turn off “Follow iPhone/iPad”? The difference is that the sound doesn’t feel like it’s coming from the device, which makes more sense since Dolby Atmos for Apple Music won’t use gyroscopes, it sounds weird.

The spatial audio for movies has been around for a year now. I was actually listening to a concert "movie" and it was in spatial audio. Took me a while to figure out why it sounded like there was an effect enabled.

You know on an A/V Receiver you can apply effects like "Church", "Stadium", "Pop", "Concert Hall"?? That is what it sounded like to me.
