Square Enix recently made the soundtracks to every main Final Fantasy game available to listen on Apple Music and Spotify (via TechCrunch). The release of the soundtracks on streaming services is being timed with a special concert for Final Fantasy VII that's taking place this week in Hollywood.

To find the music, head to Apple Music and search for "Final Fantasy original soundtrack." In the results for albums you can tap "See All" to discover soundtracks for original games in the series like Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II, and even modern entries like Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XV.

As pointed out by TechCrunch, there are some missing entries, including soundtracks for Final Fantasy X-2, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift. Otherwise, every mainline entry in the franchise now has its soundtrack ready for streaming on Apple Music, from Final Fantasy I to Final Fantasy XV.

This is really exciting news and long overdue! Videogame music (especially from Final Fantasy) is the soundtrack to my life. So many fond memories! I am glad these talented composers and their works are getting the exposure they deserve.

If you don’t like it, or must ask why, then please refrain from commenting and let others enjoy it on Apple Music and Spotify. This is front page newsworthy to me. Thanks MacRumors!! :D

Why is this front page news?
Its only one of the biggest video game franchises in history. And its on the sidebar anyway. But since you probably saw it on your iPhone it "appears" as front page in the main feed on the mobile version of the site. ( Que "the more you know" music)

For those of us that aren't sour we will enjoy this awesome news.

Excellent news! I’d bought the FF IX and 20020220 albums together with some of the piano albums on iTunes before and kept meaning to buy IV, VI, VII and X soundtracks at some point. And now they’re all here in Apple Music!

With the Secret of Mana (Seiken Densetsu II) soundtrack album on the iTunes Store, my drive home and evening is going to be one of Uematsu fuelled bliss!

This is awesome. Final Fantasy is one of the many games series that has satisfying listening outside of the game itself. It’s sad but I may actually activate my free 3-month Apple Music trial for this. I’m such a nerd.

Come on in! The water’s lovely...

Nice! I wonder why X-2 wasn't included? Maybe rights to a pop song? I actually hated that game but liked the background music.

Those piano ones are great. They also (at least they used to) release "Vocal collections" besides the "piano collections". Those were really good too.

It's probably a sign of how old I am that I own most of these on CD! It was very tough to find legitimate importers even back in the day.

Very glad to see these available for a far wider audience to enjoy, now.

I was excited until I realized how much of my time listening to music centers around slinging animal poop and engaged in other drudgery. I scrub out cat boxes. I pick up after my dog several times a day. I process small mountains of laundry. It’s going to be so weird doing such things while an epic heroic soundtrack backs me up. :D

I wonder which song I should play when I go spelunking in the clothes dryer in search of the missing unpaired gym socks.o_O

I've only ever completed one Final Fantasy game, but I knew this would be major for the people who care. Thanks for reading!

Awesome! This soundtracks, especially the ones from FFVII to XII, surely bring up a lot of memories and feelings. I cannot wait to feel like a teenager again!!

But I don't use Apple music. Are this albums available on the iTunes Store?

Ahhh the memories I have from Final Fantasy X. Goooood times. Pretty cool news.
I couldn’t agree more. I’m glad they got these, my only gripe is that didn’t get the remastered FFX soundtrack on there. Not a big deal since I already have it but I much prefer the remaster to the original soundtrack.

So easy. Final Fantasy XV: What Lies Within. The eerie waltz is moving, creepy. And a haunting reminder that... you will never find the sock.

Definitely agree with this. Just finished my playthrough of the FFX remaster on switch, the soundtrack on it is so much better.

Wow, great news. Added all FF soundtracks to my library, and that’s a LOT of music! Even Record Keeper is on here lol. Now I can effectively slim down my “iTunes” wishlist.

No kidding. I bought FF12, Lost Odyssey and The Last Remnant from the same place and they all ended up being pirated :(

I've subsequently picked up a real copy of The Zodiac Age soundtrack though (along with several others: All three FF13s, FF15, Dragon's Dogma, Distant Worlds...)
