Apple Music is automatically adding non-offline songs back to iPhone in car.

I've had a really frustrating experience with Apple Music since it started. I normally keep my iPhone set to "offline songs only" so I don't use any data when away from home/work. However, whenever I plug my phone into my car (Kia Soul USB port), the library automatically changes to the full list. Even weirder is that "offline songs only" is still checked when this happens. The only way I've been able to fix it is to disconnect the phone, disable offline only, renable it, force close the app, and then replug the phone in (and sometimes it takes a few tries at this). Has anyone else come across this? Thanks!
