I have my ATV4K hooked up to a Dolby Atmos home theatre system and everything has sounded great ever since. Recently I noticed that the music volume seems a lot lower and lacks punch. I have to turn it up a fair bit more and it still doesn’t sound quite right. I double checked all the settings to make sure nothing had changed but all seems to be correct. In its current state it spoils the ATV Apple Music experience. All other devices such as PS5 and Xbox etc all sound correct.

Has anyone experienced a similar change? I do have beta updates switched on so it’s running TVOS16.

I am also experiencing low volume on Dolby Atmos songs with tvOS 16 beta. The issue is ongoing in the current beta 4 / public beta 2

Thanks for confirming. Usually it sounds very impressive so I thought I’d suffered sudden hearing loss!

I too am experiencing lower output when playing Apple Music Spatial Audio tracks, approximately 10dB lower than other music tracks. I asked about this in the non-beta Apple thread and based on one response, this issue seems to be related to the current beta software.

Good to know, as if it stayed like this I'd probably stop using it. I like to feel my music 😃
