Apple Music links opening iTunes app?

So anytime I share a link from Apple Music, the resulting link always opens the song/album in the iTunes app. Does anyone else have this issue? I'm in Canada running iOS 10 of that makes any difference.

Where should it link to?

Considering the link that Apple Music creates contains "Listen to (song) on Apple Music", probably Apple Music. I tested on my iPad and the links correctly open through the music app. For whatever reason it's only on my phone where it opens in iTunes.

And you have Apple Music enabled on your iPhone?

Yes I do. Apple Music enabled, iCloud Music library enabled
