Hi guys, not sure how to ask the question which is probably why my search didn't yield any answers. Anyway, I'm using Apple Music and CarPlay and when I ask Siri to play a artist or something, it seems like she always chooses the Apple Music subscription and not my local files. is there a way to distinguish or set a preference etc. am I missing something in my direction to Siri?

Do you have an AM subscription & iCloud Music Library enabled? If so, Siri should see no difference between local & stream/subscription files - if a song already exists locally/having been downloaded already, Siri will play that. Otherwise Siri will stream the track/album/artist.

If you have AM but haven’t enabled iCML, I’m not sure how Siri will determine which source to use.

If your concern is not wanting AM to stream over mobile data, going into Settings > Music > set Mobile Data to Off will stop AM using up your cellular data allowance but will stream & download over WiFi.
