My apologies if this has been answered ad nauseam here.....I have a very particular and curated library with specific artwork etc....If I just do the Match feature (no Apple Music), how likely will the Apple servers screw up the artwork and metadata? I'd hate to see hours of work go up in smoke (and yes I have it backed up to a Time Machine....just don't want to have to waste the time in the first place re-installing my backed up library).

    Thanks in advance!

I second the first comment. Been there, done that. Not that the service will change some of your music metadata that not available on its server, my purchased music (which has been downloaded to my computer hard drive) got new artwork cover replaced.

Mine got completely wrecked when I subscribed to iTunes Match. I was meticulous about my album artwork and metadata. Good thing I backup regularly. I also had issues where it was doubling up on songs, so one album instead of having say, 12 individual songs, would have 24. I dropped iTunes Match.

Match and iCloud music both have the potential to cause issues, I was not by both and have taken my personal library elsewhere.
