I've been an Apple Music "user" since the trial first started last year, but have continued to buy albums through iTunes as well. Old habits die hard apparently. I have enough music where I'm selective with what I add to my device, but I'm finding it more and more pointless to spend $9.99 for a CD when it's what I'm spending monthly. What exactly happens to all the music I've purchased over the years if I start adding in songs from Apple Music. Is that music erased?

Just curious as to what people have experienced in going all in with Apple Music.

All the music you've purchased is automatically in your AM library. Songs you add from AM are mixed in there as well. Why would anything be 'erased'?

And why in the world are you still buying albums, and paying for Apple Music?!?

Nothing happens to the music you've purchased over the years; they will remain in your library even if you unsubscribe from Apple Music.

I see nothing wrong with both subscribing to a streaming service and buying albums. A lot of people use streaming to find stuff they like and buy the ones they really love. It's just a way to help make sure you get more from the artists you really enjoy.
