Hi,

I've subscribed to Apple Music and activated iCloud Music Library. Since, I've noticed that multiple albums were mismatched, especially Live/Concert albums.

For example, I Have this album from Adele : Adele - Live at The Royal Albert Hall (2011). Apple Music identifies this album as Adele - 19.

No matter what I do, deleting the songs from iCloud, resetting my library, it still mismatches the album. I've also noticed that this album isn't offered by iTunes Store.

Does anybody know how to force an album upload on iTunes ? Because right know, I can't get this Adele live album on my iPhone except if I disable iCloud Music Library which will reduce considerably Apple Music interest.

I literally have the exact same problem with the exact same album and others! Weird haha. I made 2 threads about it the other day but no one responded :( I haven't found any way around it yet, hopefully someone will know. I'm going to go to the Apple Store the next opportunity I have with my phone and laptop and get them to sort it out because it's really pissing me off ha

All right, I've found a way to force iCloud Music Library algorithm to upload the live album. All I did was renaming the id3 title tag to suffix every titles with (Live at The Royal Albert Hall). After that and, I deleted the album from iTunes and added it again. Then, all my songs started to upload and I finally got the correct album on my iOS devices :)

It's a shame that the matching algorithm doesn't check the id3 album tag but only artist/title.

That didn't work for me :(

First, you have to delete these songs from your iTunes library AND iCloud => check the album is not avalaible anymore on any iOS device.

Then, you manually edit the id3 tag to change the title with a third party software such as TagScanner.

Finally, you add the album back into iTunes.

Did you do these 3 steps ?

Ok yeah it worked this time! Thank you so much! Going to have to re-build my whole library of live stuff and stuff not on iTunes using this method :S other stuff I can just re-build using Apple Music Library. Let's see how long this takes haha

You guys can rename it back and it won't upload/match again, so that's not an issue. Select get info on the album and then you can change that part. Changes will then propagate for all the devices that access iCloud tracks.*

Also, for those with custom artwork or just mismatched artwork, google the correct album cover and then drag it in. Then the changes will be reflected on all devices that access the iCloud tracks.

* Note that these changes have to be done on another computer that doesn't have your local library, because then you'll be editing the iCloud tracks directly. If you do it on the computer where your local library is, most times you're just changing the original track and that won't be reflected in iCloud.

Just sorted out my whole library and It's doing it again :( The names, artwork, everything is correct, except its still matching the track wrong to songs in Apple Music and not uploading my local files. It was working for a little while but when i came back to it today it had matched wrong again, with all my live stuff :S

I didn’t think iTunes Match/iCloud Music Library paid any attention to metadata when matching songs. Otherwise I wouldn’t have so many albums where just one song failed to match.

I got it to upload my original by deleting the music out of iTunes and iCloud, changing the Artist metadata, so I changed Adele to 'Adele - Live', etc and then putting it back into iTunes and uploading to iCloud Music Library. It's a bit silly but mine is all good now, so I don't mind using this work around for now. Hope this helps!
