I just subscribed to Apple Music to try it out for a few weeks. I'm still getting a feel for it, but I've noticed some oddities about it. Like, the Blues is an enormous genre of music, but, according to Apple Music, it doesn't exist.

Does anyone know what's going on here? Does Apple consider the Blues a sub-genre? Where do they hide the Blues music?

Maybe next time pick a less inflammatory title?

I see it in mine. Maybe you have it hidden or something? Or regional settings? You have "Canadian", which I don't. (I'm in NYC)

Alright, thanks for the info. I guess I have to contact Apple about this. Ideally, I think Apple Music customers should be able to select the exact genres they'd like to see.

On my iPad, I have a section called "genres you follow" and "all genres". Blues is in both sections.

Apple Music has none of the genres I listen to. They do have the albums but I don't get suggestions nor are the stations I start useful.

I am not sure why there would be differences in the layout from one person to another. I wonder if it has anything to do with the country you are in? I am in the US and it has a lot of genres, including Blues. However, I still find it strange that the genres would be different from country to country.

Agreed, which is why one of these guys needs to call Apple, and clarify.

As far as I know, different regions have different genres. It's just like how my region doesn't have 'Anime' but in Japan, there's a whole genre dedicated to 'Anime'. Some genres also don't show up on the main page, but when you add them to your library it shows up in the Genres section in your library.
