Pricing on the Apple Music Family plan increased by $3, increasing from $16.99 to $19.99. Student pricing is up $1, with the plan now priced at $6.99.

The price of the individual Apple One plan hasn't changed, but the Family and Premier plans have gone up $2. The Family plan is now $27.95 per month and the Premier plan is $39.95 per month. Apple has also raised prices in Brazil and many other countries.

In a statement to Music Business Worldwide, Apple said it was raising prices due to the "result of rising licensing costs." Apple Music prices were last increased in October 2022.

Damn, might be nearing time to cancel after like a decade of use. They should really keep it low enough to where users don't really have to think about not renewing. As soon as you raise it high enough, you get people like me saying "wait a minute, am I actually getting enough value here?"

The addiction that people have to these little software trinkets is quite high. I wonder if they ever actually sit down and calculate what they actually spend every year on these unneeded trinkets.

Reminds me of a friend of mine, he and his wife...complaining about how little money they have, how expensive things are. They spend $400 a month at Starbucks, then there are the various entertainment subscriptions, and add in DoorDash a few times a month.

They are clueless, absolutely clueless. I explained their expenditures to them. They were still clueless and did not understand how they could live without these trinkets.
