Following Apple's announcement during the WWDC keynote that Spatial Audio and Lossless Audio for Apple Music would be rolling out today, the feature now appears to be going live for some users.

For many users, restarting their device appears to trigger activation of the feature, but others have reported that a restart hasn't helped, so users may just need to be patient until it becomes available to them.

Once it's available, you'll see a new option in the Music section of the Settings app where you can choose whether Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos is Off, Always On, or Automatic, with the Automatic option using Dolby Atmos content when your device is connected to output accessories like AirPods and compatible Beats that your device recognizes as supporting the feature. For other types of headphones, you may need to manually select the Always On option.

A separate section offers options for Lossless Audio, where you can turn the higher-quality audio files on and then choose from more granular options to specify what quality of music files your device should use when streaming over cellular, streaming over Wi-Fi, or downloading music.

In the Music app, you'll also be able to see which albums support Spatial Audio and Lossless Audio, thanks to new labels in the album details sections.

(Thanks, @JGobel!)

The logos were blinking at me and appearing briefly before disappearing upon first loading an album that I expected it to be available on. All I see consistently right now after restarts on iPad & iPhone is the Digital Masters logo. I also don’t have the settings available either yet. Damn, I was really looking forward to doing laundry tonight and getting ready for bed while trying this all out.

Edit1 10:45pm I’m Live now and it‘s GLORIOUS! Didn’t realize we were getting Lossless AND Hi-Res Lossless both today.
Edit2 10:59pm: What Tim Apple giveth he may taketh away. :’( Listened to half an album in Hi-Res Lossless & Lossless, took screenshots, and then switched album to another Lossless and the whole kit of features disappeared before my eyes and even the Settings I had changed were completely gone.
Edit3 2:24am: Anyone still unable to get it to work, a workaround that worked for me instantly was to disable Sync Library for a few minutes. Tip courtesy of twitter user @ RamsesLondono

No dice for me yet. I gotta be a little more patient.

UPDATE: Today the Dolby Atmos is now appearing on my iPhone and MacBook Air. I listened to the Marvin Gay "What's Going On" introduction to Spatial Audio through my Beats Solo Pro cans and there is a huge difference. I have to admit I thought it would not be much difference but it is. Those hard to distinguish musical notes in the background are smacking me in the face!

I can't wait. I have Bose headphones so I'm not expecting much but still curious .

I'm 14.6 and don't have it. Full reboot isn't doing anything different. I'm in the Midwest, I'm trying to figure out if the people that have it our in NY or CA or something. Could be location based?

Midwest, 14.6, and don't have the options available either. I know why companies do staggered rollouts, but that doesn't mean I have to like them.
