Is it me, or does Apple use a higher bitrate for Apple Music on Apple TV (4th Generation) than on other devices? Also, is it me, or does Apple Music on Apple TV (4th Generation) sound better than the Music app on the 3rd Generation?

It's common for the audio to improve incrementally on iOS devices, seems logical that would apply to the ATV line as well.

It sounds worse to me than Apple Music via iTunes on my Mac.

So much for subjective sounds assessments.:D

To be fair I am listening to it through pro quality monitoring headphones, which tend to be unforgiving to compressed audio, but the Mac output sounds a lot more vibrant. Given the Apple TV has problems with audio in other aspects, it makes sense that the AM output wouldn't be stellar either.

Actually the quality of course is better when outputting from a Mac, as you are getting the full 96khz frequency compared to 48 on the Apple TV, so science and stuff! :)
