Apple music or Spotify??

I'm not sure which one is better. They have same price. I personally like spotify layout better. It's more user friendly (eg. easier to add music to a playlist), looks better, easier to nevigate in my opinion. Can someone tell me the pros and cons of them both?

I've used Spotify and currently paying for Apple music and Google music as well. I am paying $7.99 for Google because I get YouTube Red included but I hate the app for ios for music. Paying $4.99 for Apple music because I'm a student and that's until I'm no longer a student vs only 12 months like Spotify. That being said even excluding that reason I would go with Apple music because it's intergrated with ios unlike Spotify is. Plus I personally still prefer apples music app better than Spotify even after ios10.


Everything created equal I would just go with what you prefer. Ios integration along with me preferring Apple music which is why I chose it.

Currently prefer Spotify since they have a web player and Mac app which I like over iTunes. May consider a switch to AM when my carrier deal is up though.

A big thing for me on streaming services is new music discovery. I haven't used Apple Music in a while, but last time I tried it, I preferred new music discovery on Spotify. That's not to say new music discovery was bad on Apple Music. It was fairly good. But I feel Spotify leads for new music discovery across all streaming services.

A big pro for Apple Music is integration with your own music library. Spotify doesn't have this and that it's biggest limitation.

But in any case, I'm not keen on Apple Music due to dependence on iTunes on PC and Mac and lack of support for Google Cast.

Spotify has the better UI and functionality. Apple Music actually pays the artist for their work. So I would recommend Apple Music over Spotify any day from a monetary reason only.

i dropped these both because google music is good as the spotify and best of all is if you subscribe either way google music and youtube RED it will cost you only $9.99

Apple Music is the best. It has more music, it's fully integrated with all your devices, and it sounds amazing versus Spotify (even at Extreme). Apple has a lot of music mastered for iTunes. Apple Music 100%, it's a no brainer decision.
