No, because Apple’s is curated by humans, which means it has zero relation to your own personal tastes. It’s just an arbitrary list of songs that AM editors think are good.

Spotify daily mixes are tailored to your tastes. AM daily mix is comprised of what editors think are good (which is mainly pop and hip-hop in their opinion). And thus, not songs that YOU may be interested in.

I'll pass.

How so? Switching between the two they are almost carbon copies of each other.

Not in my experience. AM hasn't really nailed the tailored custom mixes for me the way that Spotify has. I know everyone will be different, but each time I try and give AM another chance, I still go back to Spotify in the end due to the music discovery and playlists.

I wanted to add it to my library but the German version is so full of crappy music that I wouldn’t listen to it anyway.

I don't know what's more alarming... the fact that there are so many explicit tracks on the list or the fact that people enjoy listening to them. Geez what has happened to music?

We cannot stay in the 50’s any longer. Cursing for cursing sake is just trash I agree. However limiting artists from expressing ones self should have never happened: ever!

PS try to focus on the message or the emotion being conveyed not just explicitives alone, after that’s what the artist is after.

The Hayes Code destroy movies. Ice T back in ‘96 stated Explicive Content badge immediately increased sales of any artists album even before a single song was heard. It’s still true today. I’ve heard Louis Armstrong curse in an interview (article ) somewhere yet it didn’t change my view of his music or the emotion he brought on his songs. Miles Davis Jr I’m sure evokes cursing in the track Bitches Brew or Miles Runs the Vodoo Down as many others but I hear nobody complaining about him.

Be about the music not just specifics within it.

This is simply not true. I have used both extensively. I gave Apple Music months to learn my musical tastes, and it continually failed to offer music recommendations that I enjoyed. It’s not even close to Spotify in terms of discovery algorithms.

I completely agree. I use both services, but Spotify’s algorithm is superior to AM imo.
