Profit. Forcing you to upgrade to get features that your current hardware could easily handle is the only reason to limit features to the newest products.
Pretty much. I know the only reason why this feature wasn’t rolled out for the Apple II is JUST for profit. All computers are pretty much the same, if you can do it on one, you can do it on the other. I’m still holding out hope that Apple will make it available for the eMate, but I feel I shouldn’t hold my breath.

Welp. I guess I can't use Apple Music Sing. I have a iPhone XS and a iPad 8

Not sure why you need an M1 iPad Pro to run this, but the A13 iPad and iPhone 11 works just as well. This is definitely artificial segmentation and nothing to do with the tech needed to run this feature.

The previous iPad Pro was based on A12 architecture. As was the previous Apple TV.

'Artificial segmentation'.

The weird thing is the iPhone XS came out in 2018 (no Apple Sing), the iPhone 11 came out in 2019 (has Apple Sing), but the iPad 8 that came out in 2020 does not support Apple Sing???

Apple TV needs to do much more to entice me to upgrade. I am still rocking the OG 4k ATV 32GB and I downloaded a few of massive Arcade Games and I've never run out of space, not even ONCE! The newest 128GB is nice, but the extra space and CPU bump means very little to me.
